-The world's smallest class module developed using slot antenna on shielded package technology licensed from Toshiba - Radio Frequency Power Amplifier
FDK Corporation (hereafter “FDK”) will expand the sales of their new Bluetooth® low energy module, HY0021, developed using proprietary slot antenna on shielded package technology licensed from Toshiba. FDK started sample shipments of HY0021 in Japan in July this year, and will extend this to the global market in this month.
The new HY0021 is 3.5 x 10mm, the same size as HY0020, currently in the market, but its antenna offers improved radiation efficiency, and a reduced memory capacity makes it suitable for use in small medical devices that upload sensing data to the cloud, tracking tags, and other uses.
This module brings all components necessary for Bluetooth® communication into a device with the world's smallest volume, and will enable customers to develop ultra-compact devices more easily and at a lower cost.
