EV Charger manufacturer, Servotech Power Systems Ltd. and Electra EV, an Electric Vehicle Powertrain solutions company, have announced a collaboration for a jointly owned EV charger technology, for which they recently filed for patents.
The collaboration enables fast DC charging of GB/T Bharat DC 001 vehicles (which are on sub 200V DC platforms) from the CCS2 charging network, using a connector and small gadget. This innovation addresses a need identified by Electra EV’s OEM and fleet customers, ensuring charging compatibility and eliminating the need for costly dual infrastructure deployment. Benefiting both passenger and commercial vehicles on the GB/T Bharat DC 001 protocol, the collaboration aims to streamline charging infrastructure and reduce costs, thereby encouraging wider adoption of electric vehicles, as claimed by the company statement. 50kw dc fast charger

The joint ownership of these patents will accelerate the development of next-generation EV charging ecosystem that benefits businesses and consumers alike.”
“Electra EV is delighted to announce the collaboration with Servotech Power Systems, which is working towards reimagining the EV charging landscape with solutions that are fit for purpose,” said Samir Yajnik, CEO of Electra EV. “This breakthrough technology aligns perfectly with Electra EV’s mission to pioneer the transition to electric vehicles. We see incredible potential for solutions from this collaboration in progressing India’s EV growth journey.”
