(Willmar MN-) The Barn Theatre in Willmar has launched an effort to replace their aging stage lights. Barn Theatre Operations Director Naomi Lindquist says the current lights have been in operation since they opened in 1988, and are becoming what she calls "a money pit"...

...Lindquist says they've sent out fundraising letters and put the word out in social media. They also have volunteer committees that will approach businesses about possible light sponsorships. If you would like to donate, you can call The Barn at 320-235-9500 and they can take down your credit card info over the phone. They also have a section on the website, www.thebarntheatre.com, where you can donate under the "get involved" section. If you're buying a ticket to the current production of "Fruitcakes" you can donate a dollar. And Lindquist says if you are interested in a larger donation, someone from The Barn can come and give you more information directly.
