There have been some truly gorgeous video game statues in our time, from the likes of the First 4 Figures Samus Gravity Suit statue from Metroid to the ludicrous Ghosts 'n Goblins statue from Dream Figures.
We love one-off designs though; statues that likely won't be made available to the general public, but nevertheless showcase a level of originality that simply can't be replicated elsewhere. And yes, we're a little bit jealous that we can't get our hands on them, too. parasaurolophus replica sale
Take this delightful epoxy resin statue from Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble for example, created by MiniQuest 64 and posted on social media. It depicts Dixie and Kiddy Kong riding atop the game's Hover Craft in a direct homage to the box art design.
What's particularly impressive, however, as we're sure you'll agree, is the water effects. This is the kind of thing that folks can achieve with epoxy resin, and it's absurdly realistic. The devil is in the details with this one, and we love the foamy water surrounding the Hover Craft and the tasteful use of the Rareware logo in the top corner.
MiniQuest 64 has a few other dioramas that are worth checking out over on YouTube; mainly from WarCraft, but there's another stunning piece from the Donkey Kong franchise along with an adorable take on Kirby in which he sits atop a glowing, fluffy cloud. Lovely stuff.

Nintendo Life’s resident horror fanatic, when he’s not knee-deep in Resident Evil and Silent Hill lore, Ollie likes to dive into a good horror book while nursing a lovely cup of tea. He also enjoys long walks and listens to everything from TOOL to Chuck Berry.
Never really been able to develop a taste for the game but that does look pretty gorgeous. Very impressive work.
Absolutely stunning, kudos to MiniQuest 64 for making it!
Wow that is amazing, I hate people with talent <-joke DKC3 is the only one I haven't played to be fair.
The game is way too overhated.
That water and foam do look good. Putting some effort into the water is appreciated because I’ve always liked the water in DKC3’s key art that statue is based on. The Bounty Bass is also a nice touch.
I guess the select people who do actually like DKC3 and Kiddy Kong are just super passionate about it.
A beatiful work of art, the statue, not the game.
People don't like Donkey Kong Country 3? I think it's fantastic! Also incredible looking statue!
Love these kind of work. I would love to have one of these too especially some Killer Instinct and DKC2 models.
Wow, incredible. What a fun video to watch. I really like to see the creative process. There's something magical about seeing the start and finish of a project like these. I used to paint miniatures myself, but creating your own models, 3D printing them and then painting them is a whole different level. Kudos!
Not sure where people go about hating DKC3. Just because it’s not as good as DKC2 doesn’t mean it deserves that kind of reputation. It’s an extremely solid entry
@sevex Yeah it's actually my favourite one out of the SNES trilogy!
Oh wow, it's fantastic!! And, like Somnambulance said, DKC3 gets WAY too much hate; the game is just as good as the second one. The second game is still better, but the third easily comes second!
@bring_on_branstons Same! The first one is still fantastic and revolutionary, but they just got better with each sequel in my opinion.
This looks really cool! This game isn't as good as DKC 1 or Diddy's Kong Quest, but it's still a phenomenal game!
This is AWESOME! There are a lot of resin artists like this on socials who make Nintendo figures and other game characters.
I hope we showcase them too, especially the unknowns. This type of fan art is amazing!
You could have titled this article "Donkey Kong Country 3 Fan Exists," and that would be news to me, lol.
In all seriousness though, that's awesome. I may have to subscribe to this channel.
I personally couldn’t stand DKC3. 2 is my absolute favorite platformer, and to go from that to 3 was so disappointing. I don’t even know why I hate it, I can’t remember any one thing
Why this is simply 'banana slamma' as the kids say.
Wow! As a huge fan of DK3, it's nice to not only see the game being appreciated, but dang that statue is gorgeous! The amount of detail that went into that, love the water and facial expressions especially!
Wow, just wow. Incredible diorama for an incredible game!
That is one INCREDIBLY clean print.
That is an expensive printer.
@RareFan Agreed. My only gripe is the soundtrack isn't as good as dkc2, but that's near impossible to top.
I played all three SNES DKCs earlier this year. . .it felt like I was playing the same game over again but with different music and backdrops. Still good, but my goodness, anyone who claims these as the peak of 2D Nintendo platforming is nostalgia biased. I played Returns later and was blown away. With that said, DKC3 is the only Nintendo game I've played to be set in the American Northwest, one of my favorite locales, so props to that game.
Just looking at the comments on here. Yeah, DKC 3 gets hated on way too much. It's the best in the trilogy. The world is more fleshed out, the animal buddies are new, the levels are awesome, and finding the Lost World was an actual challenge. The Banana Birds, vehicles, and Brothers Bears were excellent additions. The music is really good too.
@abbyhitter 3 is great, it definitely builds upon what came before. DKC2 remains my fav, but I like how all three have a unique tone/atmosphere that sets them apart from one another.
I do not like DK but those water effects are amazing.
Looks amazing and something I'd like to have in my collection as well. The water effects especially are mi mindblowing.
My ranking for original DKC Trilogy is: DKC2>DKC3>DKC1
@RareFan - All 3 SNES Donkey Kong games are awesome to play. No idea what people have against this. Love the overworld too.
DKC3 is such a vibe. Each entry was a unique work of art and equally special in their own way, I can't imagine ordering them from most to least favorite, it really just depends on what mood I'm in. The PNW campground aesthetic slaps.
Awesome! I'd buy that
