Proflow SuperMax+ Billet LS Intake Manifold - Engine Builder Magazine

Proflow’s new billet aluminum SuperMax+ Billet LS Intake Manifold is a low-profile intake manifold for the popular rectangle port cylinder heads (LS3/L92). They have been completely redesigned from their sheet metal counterparts and now comprised of full CNC-machined 6061-T6 billet aluminum construction. The manifolds feature tapered runners to increase air velocity entering the cylinder head, and a shorter length to provide massive top-end power. Power adders such as turbochargers will thrive off the increased plenum volume to provide power from the mid to high rpm range. Billet aluminum fuel rails with AN8 ORB ports are also included, which suit short-length 14mm injectors. Aluminum Round Bar

This innovative manifold design has been designed in conjunction with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software to produce a plenum which aims to evenly distribute airflow to all eight cylinders. The double hump top design has been shown to tumble and redirect fluid towards the intake ports.

SuperMax+ LS manifolds are intended for maximum performance applications and will work best with upgraded engine components and hardware, such as upgraded camshafts and cylinder heads. It is recommended to be used in conjunction with forced induction packages.

Each Crower shaft rocker setup is designed and produced to maximize valvetrain rigidity and accuracy.

Crower develops shaft rocker systems for numerous new, "hot" cylinder heads. Each Crower shaft rocker setup is designed and produced to maximize valvetrain rigidity and accuracy.

Crower utilizes the longest arm length possible for each application, which results in minimal rocker tip travel and less frictional power loss, helping to accommodate larger diameter valve springs.

Callies Apex Series Forged Crankshafts for GM LS and LT engines fill the gap between the entry-level Compstar forged cranks and the full-boogie Magnum Series and billet cranks. Able to support 2,000-plus horsepower, the Apex crankshafts are made on the same premium 4340 forgings Callies uses for their Magnum Series cranks. Callies offers the cranks

Stay Frosty is glycol-free and track-approved. Best yet, it reduces engine temps by up to 30°F.

Various block options including R0 Street, R1 Race and R1 Pro are available, and each include enhanced features and customization options.

Features include brushless soft-start motor, air velocity-controlled hinges, 2mm-thick construction and variable fan speed.

Advanced techniques and innovations are helping refine processes, allowing for greater customization while improving engine performance and reliability.

Jay Doleshal’s 1967 Chevy Nova was one of the more eye-catching cars at Drag Week this past fall, and when you factor in it’s twin-turbo 5.3L LS engine under the hood, it was down right hard to ignore! Check it out.

We’re not going to lie, the color of Jay Doleshal’s Chevy Nova drew us in like moths to a flame. Once we got close, we noticed the twin-turbo 5.3L LS engine under the hood, which has a nice pop of orange against the purple. But color aside, the engine has some serious horsepower potential, and

The engine is a stout 6.0L LS built by Prestige Motorsports located in Concord, NC.
