A bakery worker has offered an insight into how walk-in ovens work amid intense speculation about how a teenage Walmart employee became trapped inside one.
Gursimran Kaur, 19, tragically died inside a walk-in oven in the bakery section of the Walmart store she worked at alongside her mother in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Her death sparked widespread confusion about how she became trapped and prompted many people to reveal they didn't even know walk-in ovens existed.
Now, an anonymous American woman has shared a series of clips on TikTok illustrating how walk-in ovens operate, and taking her followers inside the steel box.
She said the videos have not been filmed inside a Walmart and clarified that she does not know what specific brand of oven was involved in the tragedy.

An American woman has shared a series of clips on TikTok illustrating how walk-in ovens operate, and taking her followers inside the steel box
But she did say that from her experience, most walk-in ovens do have similar features.
'There's no emergency off-switch inside of the ovens. On the inside of the door there is an emergency release button, but the button is metal and would be extremely hot to press,' she said.
'I'm not sure about other companies but we set our ovens to 350 degrees farenheit.'
At her store, she said 'the oven doesn't turn off when it's opened, it stays on throughout most of the day until we finish baking everything.'
The woman shared another video which revealed the scale of the oven, pushing a large rack on wheels inside of it which could hold 15 trays of baked goods.
Even with the rack, there was still enough room for a person to step inside.

The duo began working at Walmart together two years ago, shortly after arriving from India seeking new opportunities
But the woman said there are few reasons for a worker to ever step inside - especially if the oven was already on.
'We would not be cleaning the oven when it's on. The only other reason we would be stepping inside the oven would be to pick up parchment paper off the floor,' she said.
It is still unclear how Gursimran Kaur became trapped inside the oven.
A dispatch call first reported by DailyMail.com early this week revealed that there was a 'female employee locked in an oven in the bakery.'
'Oven is on. Unsure if staff are able to turn it off,' the dispatch officer warned.
Kaur's mother, who worked at Walmart alongside her daughter, made the distressing discovery after conducting a frantic search around the store for Kaur.

While the exact brand of the oven involved in the incident has not yet been revealed, other Walmart stores around the United States are known to have ovens like the one pictured installed
A colleague noted 'leakage' coming from the walk-in oven.
'Imagine the horror that her mother experienced - who herself opened the oven,' a spokesperson for the family said in a GoFundMe appeal.
'As you all know, her charred remains were found inside the walk-in oven in the bakery after a few hours.'
Kaur's mother is reportedly 'traumatized' by the discovery.
'This family's sufferings are unimaginable and indescribable,' the Maritime Sikh Society Executive said in the appeal.
Kaur has been remembered as a 'beautiful girl who came to Canada with big dreams.'
Walmart officials said in a statement 'we are heartbroken and our deepest thoughts are with our associate and their family. We extend our sincerest condolences to those who were closest to them.
'We're also supporting our associates during this incredibly difficult time and have provided access to 24/7 virtual care and will provide on-site support, including grief counselling.'
